Mental health in sport is not a luxury but a fundamental right and a necessary condition for the sustainable development of sport. The values of the Association are not mere ideals written on paper, but a concrete direction and a commitment to creating a sport that puts people first. Only by respecting these values can sport become an environment where excellence, integrity, safety, and the well-being of all participants come together.
The mission of the Association goes beyond responding to mental distress. It is rooted in creating an environment where caring for mental health is as natural as physical preparation. Only then can sport become a space where success is not measured solely by
medals, but also by health, balance, and long-term well-being. The Association believes that no one in sport should be left alone in the fight with mental challenges – regardless of their role, level, or background.
Through vision, the Association strives to build a better sporting environment, where mental health, psychological resilience, and athlete well-being are treated with the seriousness and holistic approach they deserve.
The goals of the Association reflect a deep conviction that sport needs a holistic, human-centered, and sustainable approach. Only through collaboration, professional support, and systemic change can we build a sports environment where mental health is not an afterthought – but a foundation for success, fulfillment, and a meaningful life for all involved.
The Association’s strategy is a dynamic system of measures that unites knowledge, practice, and values toward a shared goal: a sport in which mental health is inseparable from success. With concrete tools, clear mechanisms, and inclusive engagement of all
stakeholders, the Association is laying the foundations for long-term change that will enable athletes not only to achieve better results but also to lead more fulfilling lives – now and after the end of their careers.
“Mental health in sport is not a luxury – it is a foundation. Let every athlete – regardless of level, age, or achievement – be part of an environment where they are heard, understood, and supported.
